Experts in the blog world say it’s important to introduce yourself to visitors.

I’m sure that’s true, but in looking at my ‘blog stats’ it seems nobody visits this page.

You, my friend, are the exception. Please feel exceptional about this, at least.

As for me, I retired after working for public companies in the high-tech industry (lasers & optics) for 30+ years. After 8 years in R&D I spent the balance of my career on the business and management side of the house.

I’d like to say I was prescient in retiring at just the right time, but always remember; if you get your choice between smarts and luck…pick luck every time.

I read a lot, exercise a bunch, and try to avoid yard-work.

I’m also the geek-around-the-house.

On the other hand, my wife Leslie is the love of my life, and the artist in the family.

Unlike mine, her blog will actually improve your life, it’s called Just Another Mystery.
